- Subscription Terms and Conditions | Choirs For Good
Subscription Terms and conditions Here is a summary of our T&Cs. For the full Terms and Conditions see below. Your first subscription payment will be taken immediately after you submit your payment details on our website. You may start attending rehearsals immediately. Your choir meets 48 weeks out of the year. There will be 4 scheduled weeks off per year, and you will be told of those dates a reasonable amount of time beforehand. You will not be entitled to any partial refunds for the 4 scheduled weeks off. Our goal is that we will never cancel scheduled sessions, although you may occasionally have a different choir leader than your usual leader taking your rehearsal. If we ever have reason to cancel your session, you are entitled to claim a partial refund equivalent to the sessions that we have cancelled. If you miss a scheduled session, you will not be entitled to a refund. Please speak to your choir leader if you have any questions about this. Occasionally your choir may have a gig/performance or social in place of a session, this is not classed as a cancelled session and you are not entitled any partial refunds in this instance. You can cancel your subscription at any time, for any reason. You can cancel on our website, by speaking to your choir leader, or by emailing hello@choirsforgood.com Your subscription will be cancelled immediately and no future payments will be taken. For monthly subscriptions, we will not give partial refunds if you cancel your subscription early in the 30-day payment cycle, but you will be very welcome to attend all of the remaining sessions in that month before the following payment date; on that date, no payment will be taken. For yearly subscriptions, your payment will be calculated to the end of the 30-day period in which you cancelled, and you will be refunded the amount for the remainder of the year after that 30-day period. In other words, your refund will be calculated by the month, not by the week. You will be very welcome to attend all of the sessions in the 30-day period in which you cancelled. You may re-start your subscription at any time providing you choir does not have a waiting list. Your subscription needs to be paid up to date in order for you to take part in rehearsals and gigs. If you have not paid for any reason, we may have to ask you not to take part until you have updated your payments. We reserve the right to change the monthly fee of your subscription, but we will always tell you at least one (1) month in advance of any changes. The above is a summary of the main points for full T&Cs see below TERMS AND CONDITIONS (FULL) Please read all these terms and conditions. You do not have rights to the Services unless your payments are up to date. 32. No matter the method you use to cancel, we will send you a Cancellation Confirmation in a reasonable amount of time. This will be in a Durable Medium (e.g. by email). 40. In the case of the cooling period, to meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired. If we receive notice of your cancellation and the first payment is accidentally taken, you will be entitled to a full refund of that payment. Means of reimbursement 41. - About Us | Choirs For Good
About US We are a network of community wellbeing choirs. We exist to promote the importance and benefits of community singing, and the many wonderful ways that choirs can unite people and place, and contribute back to their local communities and realise their potential in wider society. In short, we exist to help people Feel Good and Do Good , For Good . OUR VISION We want to create a world where choirs are at the heart of local communities, fostering lifelong learning and education. Where they give back to society and are part of a sustainable, integrated approach to helping people live more connected, fulfilling lives. Feel Good We know that singing makes people feel amazing through the release of ‘happy hormones,’ which can greatly benefit the body and mind. Singing can also help people Feel Good by reducing stress levels, helping you learn new skills, and lowering feelings of anxiety and loneliness! Research also shows that singing has a biological effect on the body, increasing white blood cell production, boosting immunity, and can also help with people’s breathing, circulation and mobility issues. Choir is also a great place to meet new friends and create incredible lifelong friendships. Do Good Singing together is about much more than singing itself. Choirs are people from different backgrounds and experiences, uniting to form a community. Communities are a powerful force for support and we believe that placing choirs at the heart of local communities we can unite and connect people, while creating positive change in our local communities and beyond. Our choirs perform regularly to raise funds and awareness for various good causes in their communities. Additionally, at the start of each year our members vote for our 'Charity Of The Year ' and our choirs join forces to raise funds for their chosen cause. FOR GOOD Choirs For Good is not a charity. We are a not-for-profit social business. Whats the difference? We are not reliant on funding and donations to ensure the sustainability and longevity of our choirs and we will always keep our membership costs as low as they possibly can be. All our profits must be invested back into the business, or donated to charity. We are working to create a future where Arts activities like group singing are funded to last and are sustainable and inclusive for everyone, without exception. We believe in a future where singing on prescription is a part of day to day life and lifelong learning is encouraged. We also want to support and encourage the next generation of choir leaders. We want to promote leading community choirs as a highly skilled, rewarding and viable career that can make people feel good and do good, for good.

- A Broadway Christmas | Choirs For Good
A Broadway Christmas ‘A Broadway Christmas’ has been our very first project and it’s fair to say, we couldn’t have wished for better! We had 2 goals in mind: firstly, to spread a little joy through singing; and also to give as many Arts professionals as we could the opportunity for paid work during what has been such a tough year. Over 4 virtual rehearsals in November 2020, we have had the privilege of working with over 150 singers (ranging from age 5 to 95!) from all across the world, enjoying some festive cheer and creating some community spirit in the way that only singing in a choir can! We have also been so lucky to work alongside some of the best in the industry - with our partners The ‘West End of Wales’ orchestra, we were able to pay over 30 professionals for their time, skill and expertise, ranging from musicians and orchestrators to audio and video engineers. For so many, the impact of COVID-19 has decimated their livelihoods and we are so proud to have assisted them in some small way. This project couldn’t have happened without the time, help, and dedication of so many people, and we are forever grateful to them all. A few weeks after the video was released we were delighted to hear the amazing news that we had won the David Taylor Classical Music Award for 'Best Virtual Project'. - No One Is Alone | Choirs For Good
No One Is Alone Featuring Jamie Barton For our third virtual project we were lucky to be joined by internationally renowned opera singer, Jamie Barton for a stunning rendition of 'No One Is Alone' from the Sondheim musical, Into The Woods . This project was launched in LGBT+ history month and took place the following month in March 2021. Over a period of 4 rehearsals we were joined by singers all over the world, even as far as the USA and Canada for this very special performance in aid of Stonewall Cymru and the work they do advocating equal rights for the LGBT+ community. We were delighted that in total, we were able to raise over £750! Jamie Barton is increasingly recognized for how she uses her powerful instrument offstage – lifting up women, queer people, and other marginalized communities and we were delighted she was able to lend her incredible voice to this beautiful performance, unlike any other virtual choir video that you’ve seen before. This project has been made possible by a grant from Localgiving and Postcode Community Trust, a grant-giving charity funded by players of People’s Postcode Lottery. All Videos Play Video All Videos
